MY APPROACH: My approach is to choose FOR a new behavior, not AGAINST an existing behavior. It is almost impossible to discipline yourself into NOT doing something (anything) for long-term. The easier approach is to introduce something new into your life because you WANT to do it. Never is this more immediate than food choices. After all, we eat at least three times a day. People often look at me, aghast, “I totally need to get off sugar and flour, but I could NEVER give it up forever.”
Of course this is possible. I’ve done it for 24 years. With intention, knowledge, and support, anything is possible.
